When I was a kid, my family used to rent a cottage on a lake in Michigan for a week or two at the end of the summer. Though we'd have some sunny days for swimming and boating, inevitably the weather would turn cool. Not it's-so-cold-our-vacation-is-ruined cool. More like put-on-a-light-sweatshirt-and-curl-up-in-a lawnchair-with-a-good-book weather. Mmmmmm...it was the first delicious hint of fall.
My mom called yesterday and asked how the weather was in Indy. I said, "We're having Michigan weather." No further explanation necessary. Two whole days of overcast skies and crisp air; they're the kind of days that are perfect for napping. Never missing a chance to doze, Vienna took full advantage of the snooze-worthy weather.
She probably could have used a pillow and a blanket, you know, to be comfortable.
